An interview with Eco Latino Magazine about Chico’s career and future plans for the band.

In the summer of 2013 I was granted the opportunity to go on a tour of the US  with great musicians, friends  and the band Cascada,  an awesome  band from the San Francisco Bay area.

For the beginning of our tour, we visited the North West part of the United States; we went to beautiful places like  Anacortes, Seattle,  Sedro Woolley and Sequimin Washington. After that we went to Boise, Idaho. We later followed this with the Utah area part of our tour, visiting Layton and  Springdale, where I had the chance to play and see one of the most beautiful stages in  the country.

In association with director Joseph Mantegna and project supervisor Luis Goitia, Chico’s latest participation in film scoring is on the documentary,  “Norman Mailer The American”.

The film showcases Lobos’s talent not only as a phenomenal guitarist and performer but also as a talented music composer  for film and tv.

This Friday November  9 Chico Lobos will be playing a set at the famous Hollywood music venue Pig ‘n  Whistle.

The band will be joined by special guests  flamenco and Jazz guitarist Alfredo Caceres and Elbert Gonzales on drums and percussion. This will be a great evening of great musicians playing an awesome show for the Los Angeles and Hollywood crowds.

The show starts at 8:00 PM

Tonight Chico will be performing at The guitar Show  in the historic city of Riverside, California as  Part of   The Hispanic Heritage month concert series .

Chico will be joined by Gitanos Band :

Daniel Gallardo on Rhythm guitars and bass

Fernando Cacho Dias on Drums and percussion

Ana Valeria on vocals .

Join us for an evening of blues and Spanish Guitar with  . If you are in the area this is one show you don’t want to miss .

This means that 580 people – which is 116 families – which is TWO whole communities will soon have access to clean, safe drinking water!!!

Summer 2012 has been very exiting because i had the chance to  perform many shows in Florida specially Jacksonville ( Home) .

The support from the Florida fans has been amazing since the beginning, back in 2006 when i formed my first band in the US ( Strings Of Fire) with music partner Javier Perez . I have had the good fortune of  being surrounded by talented musicians and good friends like Juan Urdaneta, Al Ortiz, Robert Kaye, Ray Martin, Gus barraza and many more . to all of them Thank you for believing and making me sound better.  And the new ones like the amazing drummer  Willie Chambliss and great talented violin player Felix Chang and the  super talented bass player Al Reshard  whom performed with me at The Ponte Vedra Concert hall . Thank you for donating your time and talent for this amazing event.

Jordyn Jackson and Shawn Fisher are two of the busiest bodies in Northeast Florida. In addition to their solo musical careers — she as a jazzy chanteuse and he as the frontman of rootsy rockers Son of a Bad Man — the duo’s new joint project, Flagship Romance, reflects their personal and professional relationship. The two recently recorded their first album together in New Orleans and have built a steady following in and around the Southeast. But that’s not enough for Jackson and Fisher — they’ve gone and organized the inaugural Clean Water Music Fest, which donates 100 percent of its proceeds to international nonprofit Charity Water.
